Marina Abramovic and Anish Kapoor

In 2018, we became the first Virtual Reality Partner of Art Basel, the international art fair, presenting new VR artworks by leading contemporary artists Marina Abramović and Anish Kapoor in Hong Kong. Both art works were created in collaboration with Acute Art. 

In Rising, the internationally-renowned performance artist Marina Abramović encourages viewers to confront the effects of climate change. The artist is shown in a virtual tank, which slowly fills with water, evoking rising sea levels. By pledging to support the environment, viewers can save Abramović from drowning. 

Anish Kapoor’s Into Yourself, Fall takes viewers on a journey inside the human body. The experience is comparable to vertigo; the artist recreates the sensation of falling, with the body’s inner workings presented as a complex labyrinth.
